उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव के दौरान आगरा जिले में राजनीतिक सरगर्मी अपने चरम पर थी, और भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता पूरी तन्मयता के साथ जनसंपर्क अभियान में जुटे हुए थे। इसी क्रम में आगरा के भाजपा जिला उपाध्यक्ष श्री संतोष सिकरवार ने स्थानीय कार्यकर्ताओं और प्रबुद्ध नागरिकों के साथ एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक को संबोधित किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश के यशस्वी मुख्यमंत्री श्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के उस आह्वान को दोहराया, जिसमें उन्होंने प्रदेश की जनता से बढ़-चढ़कर मतदान करने की अपील की थी। श्री सिकरवार ने बल देते हुए कहा कि आपका एक-एक वोट न केवल उत्तर प्रदेश के उज्ज्वल भविष्य और विकास की दिशा तय करेगा, बल्कि राष्ट्रविरोधी ताकतों और अराजकता को रोकने में भी निर्णायक साबित होगा। मुख्यमंत्री जी के कथनों को आगे बढ़ाते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश की सुरक्षा, कानून व्यवस्था और सांस्कृतिक राष्ट्रवाद को बनाए रखने के लिए नागरिकों को अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग पूरी सजगता के साथ करना चाहिए।
बैठक को आगे बढ़ाते हुए भाजपा जिला उपाध्यक्ष श्री संतोष सिकरवार ने संगठन की मजबूती और कार्यकर्ताओं के समर्पण की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय जनता पार्टी का प्रत्येक कार्यकर्ता 'सेवा ही संकल्प, संगठन ही शक्ति' के मूल मंत्र को आत्मसात करते हुए जनता के बीच कार्य कर रहा है। आज केंद्र और प्रदेश की डबल इंजन सरकार ने गरीब कल्याण, महिला सुरक्षा, और बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास के क्षेत्र में ऐतिहासिक कार्य किए हैं। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि हमारा यह दायित्व है कि हम हर घर तक सरकार की उपलब्धियों को पहुंचाएं और लोकतंत्र के इस महापर्व में शत-प्रतिशत मतदान सुनिश्चित करें।
श्री सिकरवार ने कार्यकर्ताओं का आह्वान किया कि वे 'राष्ट्र प्रथम, संगठन सर्वोपरि' की भावना के साथ कार्य करें। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश को उत्तम प्रदेश बनाने की यह यात्रा तब तक अधूरी है जब तक समाज का प्रत्येक वर्ग विकास की मुख्यधारा से नहीं जुड़ जाता। इस जन-जागरण अभियान के दौरान स्थानीय जनता में भारी उत्साह देखने को मिला। आगरा के नागरिकों ने बढ़-चढ़ेकर भाजपा के पक्ष में मतदान करने और प्रदेश में एक बार फिर सुशासन की सरकार बनाने का संकल्प लिया।
